Boston AI Week 2026 runs 16 September to 28 October across Massachusetts, with a core festival week from 24 September to 2 October. For B2B sellers, the rooms that matter most are GAI World at the Hynes Convention Center (28 to 30 September) and the invitation-only Boston AI Summit on 1 October. With ten days to the core week, start outreach now with a short, named account list.
We checked every date, venue and organizer below against the official event websites on 14 September 2026. Some venues are still listed as to be announced, so confirm again before you send a meeting invite.
What Boston AI Week is, and who it draws
Boston AI Week is a statewide festival organized by Boston AI Week, founded by Judah Phillips. The 2026 theme is "AI in Business and in Life," and events run from Boston, Cambridge, the Seaport and Kendall Square out to Worcester, Lowell, Springfield and the Berkshires. Mayor Michelle Wu has proclaimed 24 September 2026 Boston AI Week in the City of Boston.
The organizer reports 125+ events, 15,000+ participants and 256 participating companies in 2025. For 2026 it lists 150+ approved events and 500+ participating organizations from 23 countries. It describes the audience as founders and business leaders, workers, researchers, investors and students, and it invites companies, universities and community groups to add their own events to the official program.
That breadth is the draw, and it is also the trap. Most of the program is community meetups, talks and workshops. A handful of rooms hold enterprise buyers, and those are the ones to plan meetings around.

Two notes on the table. The AI Blueprint for Massachusetts appears on the Boston AI Week homepage and schedule for 30 September, but its own event page still says the date, venue and agenda will be announced closer to the festival. The Boston AI Summit is by application, and the organizer says invitations go out in September on a rolling basis.
Where the buyers are
GAI World 2026 (Hynes Convention Center): GAI Insights presents its fourth annual GAI World as a gathering of executives, operators and practitioners focused on how AI is driving measurable results. The organizer lists 70+ speakers, 600+ in-person attendees and 70+ sessions, with tracks on asset management, healthcare and life sciences, sales, marketing and customer operations, and workforce upskilling. All passes include exhibit hall access on 28 and 29 September, and a VIP pass adds a closed-door executive capstone. Its 2026 sponsors include IBM, AWS, ThoughtSpot, DDN and Vantiq.
Boston AI Summit (Foundation Medicine, 400 Summer Street): the flagship conference of Boston AI Week is a single-track, one-room day for 250 executives, founders, investors, researchers and public-sector leaders. It opens with the release of The State of AI in Massachusetts 2026, and listed speakers include executives from Red Hat, Accenture and Dell. Seats are by application, so plan meetings around the Summit rather than inside it.
Boston Cloud Connect Summit (WGBH Studios): FirstLight presents this half-day event for CIOs, CEOs, CFOs, CISOs, IT directors and security professionals, with sessions on cybersecurity, AI and enterprise networks and a networking reception afterward.
AI Blueprint for Massachusetts: a working session for government and civic leaders, industry and enterprise, and universities and research. It suits vendors whose buyers sit in state agencies or academic institutions, once the venue is confirmed.
Community rooms: the opening party, the Boston Generative AI Meetup and the closing party draw founders, operators, researchers and practitioners. They are good places to meet a champion you already know, and poor places to hold a first discovery conversation.
A short-lead-time meeting plan
Our standard timeline for pre-booked meetings at conferences starts six weeks out. On 14 September you have ten days to the core week and two weeks to GAI World, so compress the work into six steps.
- Pick 40 to 80 target accounts Choose Massachusetts enterprises and Boston offices with live AI programs, then add the companies behind GAI World sponsors and Summit speakers. Tier the list and set a meeting target your team can staff.
- Map speakers and sponsors Pull names from the GAI World speaker and sponsor pages, the Summit speaker list and the event hosts on the Boston AI Week schedule. Match each name to an account so every message goes to a person, not a company.
- Send outreach this week with a clear reason to meet Reference a specific session, track or the State of AI in Massachusetts 2026 report, and say what the prospect gets from 20 minutes with you. Send email and a LinkedIn touch by 18 September and one follow-up by 22 September.
- Offer specific slots near venues Propose two exact times and places in every message: Back Bay near the Hynes for 28 to 30 September, Summer Street near Foundation Medicine for 1 October, and breakfast or early evening slots that avoid session times.
- Confirm 48 hours ahead Send calendar invites with the exact location and both mobile numbers, then reconfirm 48 hours before and on the morning of each meeting. Recheck any venue that was listed as to be announced.
- Follow up within 48 hours Send a recap in the prospect's own words, book the next step and tag the opportunity to Boston AI Week in your CRM. Offer anyone who could not meet on site a call before the full window closes on 28 October.
A clear reason to meet names the room and the problem. GAI World says its sessions will tackle demonstrating ROI, 2027 AI strategy and budget, and avoiding vendor lock-in, so a message might read: "Your team is heading to GAI World, where AI ROI is on the agenda. We help teams like yours measure it. Could we meet near the Hynes at 8:00 AM on 29 September or 5:30 PM on 30 September?"
Keep the list short. Ten days out, a tight list with a named person and a real reason to meet beats a long list with a generic invite.
Which Lemniscate industries each event suits
- B2B SaaS and AI: GAI World is the strongest fit, especially its sales, marketing and customer operations track. The Boston AI Summit adds founders and investors, and the Boston Generative AI Meetup reaches people building with generative AI.
- Healthcare IT: GAI World runs a healthcare and life sciences track for healthcare and pharma leaders applying AI across clinical systems, drug development and patient operations. Boston AI Week also names healthcare and life sciences among the communities it brings together.
- Data and analytics vendors: GAI World sponsors include ThoughtSpot and DDN, and its agenda asks how to measure AI's impact while managing the cost of tokens and compute. Those sessions are a natural reason to meet data leaders.
- System integrators and consultancies: GAI World sessions cover change management and vendor relationships, and the Boston AI Summit lists a managing director from Accenture among its speakers.
- Cybersecurity: the Boston Cloud Connect Summit on 24 September brings CISOs, CIOs and IT directors together for sessions on cybersecurity and AI.
- Higher education: the AI Blueprint for Massachusetts names universities and research among its audiences, alongside government and industry.
